“ADVANCED COMPRESSOR SYSTEM FOR 45,000-FEET BGA AIRCRAFT”

The project will focus on the development of an innovative compressor module, a key component of next-generation turboprop aircraft propulsion, for 45,000-foot high-altitude aircraft in the Business & General Aviation (BGA) segment. This is important due to the increased demand for smaller aircraft designed to cover shorter distances, where the use of large passenger aircraft is not profitable. At the same time, in the context of the need to reduce pollutant emissions from fuel combustion as much as possible, it is no less important that the new compressor module is to ensure reduction in the weight of the entire engine through the use of lighter materials, as well as enable aircraft to operate at the above-mentioned altitude of 45,000 feet, which directly translates into reduced fuel consumption of the aircraft. The project also aims to create software using artificial intelligence, that as a major innovation will support the process of designing turbine components in the field of vibration analysis.

The target group of the results is the part of the aviation industry directly related to the production of modern engines for turboprop aircraft, with an emphasis on the Business & General Aviation segment where the new engines, as smaller and more economical on shorter routes, can contribute to the development of local air connections.
