Xiamen Airlines Signs GE’s OnPoint Solution Agreement for GEnx Material

LE BOURGET -- Xiamen Airlines signed a 15-year OnPointSM solution agreement with GE Aviation for the material necessary to overhaul its 12 GEnx-1B engines. The agreement is valued at $240 million (USD) over the life of the agreement.

“The GEnx-1B engine plays an important part in our operations,” said Cai Chengbao, vice president of Xiamen Airlines. “This long-term material solution agreement enables us to ensure the engines are maintained to OEM standards for the best performance and reliability to serve our customers.”

“Xiamen Airlines and GE Aviation share a common passion for quality and meeting customer commitments,” said Kevin McAllister, president and CEO of GE’s Services organization. “The material agreement on the GEnx engine will allow Xiamen to have access to the highest quality material for its maintenance and overhaul for optimal engine operations.”

OnPoint solutions are customized service agreements tailored to the operational and financial needs of each customer for any size fleet. These agreements are designed to help lower the customers' cost of ownership and maximize the use of their assets. Backed by GE's global support network, OnPoint services may include overhaul, on wing support, new and used-serviceable parts, component repair, technology upgrades, engine leasing, integrated systems support and diagnostics and integrated systems.
