Virgin Nigeria Airways Signs $15 Million OnPoint Solutions Service Agreement with GE

EVENDALE, OHIO -- Virgin Nigeria Airways has signed a five-year, $15 million OnPointSM Solutions services agreement with GE Aviation for the maintenance and overhaul of its 14 CFM56-3C* engines that power its fleet of Boeing 737-300 aircraft.

Nigeria's private sector carrier, Virgin Nigeria Airways is owned 51 percent by Nigerian Institutional shareholders and 49 percent by Virgin Atlantic who is also technical partner to Virgin Nigeria. Formed in 2004, the airline began services in June 2005 from its base in Lagos. Virgin Nigeria serves routes within Nigeria as well as regional routes in West Africa and international routes to London and Johannesburg.
