SkyWest Airlines Signs GE’s OnPoint Solution Agreement on CF34 Engines

LE BOURGET--GE Aviation signed SkyWest Airlines to a 18-year OnPointSM solution agreement for material to support its 86 CF34-8E engine fleet that powers its EMBRAER 175 aircraft. The agreement is valued at more than $550 million (USD) over the life of the agreement.

“SkyWest Airlines depends on the highly reliable and dependable CF34 engines that power its regional jet fleet,” said Kevin McAllister, president and CEO of GE Aviation’s Services organization. “This agreement along with a similar agreement signed in 2012 on the airline’s CF34-8C engine fleet for the Bombardier’s CRJ aircraft will provide the best material support to meet SkyWest’s customer commitments.”

OnPoint solutions are customized service agreements tailored to the operational and financial needs of each customer for any size fleet. These agreements are designed to help lower the customers' cost of ownership and maximize the use of their assets. Backed by GE's global support network, OnPoint services may include overhaul, on wing support, new and used-serviceable parts, component repair, technology upgrades, engine leasing, integrated systems support and diagnostics and integrated systems.
