GE Engine Services, Inc., Awarded $35 Million Contract

EVENDALE, Ohio - GE Engine Services, Inc., has been awarded a $35 million contract to maintain, overhaul and repair the JT9-7 engines of PeaceAir.

The ten-year contract covers the engines powering PeaceAir's fleet of five Boeing 747-200 aircraft. Overhaul, maintenance and repair work will be done at GE Aircraft Engines' Overhaul and Repair Center of Excellence in Nantgarw, Wales.

"We are pleased to have the opportunity to build upon our new relationship with PeaceAir," said Dave Settergren, director of GE Engine Services sales in Singapore. "GE Engine Services has been overhauling and repairing the CF6-80C2 engines in PeaceAir's fleet since last year, and we will strive to build upon their level of confidence in our service."

GE Engine Services, Inc. is based in Cincinnati, Ohio. In addition to its Center of Excellence located in Wales, GE Engine Services has a network of overhaul and repair Centers of Excellence located in Xiamen, China; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Singapore; Ontario, California; Strother Field, near Arkansas City, Kansas; Miami, Florida; Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas; Prestwick, Scotland; Petropolis, Brazil; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; and Cincinnati, Ohio, and also at Garrett Aviation Services' six Total Aircraft ServiceSM Centers.
