GE Engine Services Awarded $30 Million Contract By Regal Airways

EVENDALE, OHIO - GE Engine Services has entered into a $30 million, five-year maintenance agreement to maintain the 24 CFM56-3C1 engines that power the Boeing 737-300 fleet of Regal Airways Inc.The agreement calls for GE Engine Services to perform engine overhaul and repair, plus accessory services, at the GE Engine Services maintenance center in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Under the terms of the agreement, GE Engine Services will also provide on wing support and engine leasing services to Regal Airways.Regal Airways is a Florida start-up airline headquartered at the Sanford Orlando International Airport. Regal intends to serve the business and leisure traveler, initially providing service to 18 U.S. cities, and expanding by the end of next year to 30 cities within and outside the U.S."We are extremely pleased that Regal Airways has entrusted GE Engine Services to provide such a broad range of engine maintenance solutions," said Lorraine Bolsinger, vice president and general manager of GE Engine Services Market Development and Sales.
