February 26, 2019

FLORENCE, KY | February 26, 2019

GE Aviation's On Wing Support Center in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky region is expanding to meet the growing demand for its engine repair services.

As part of this expansion, the GE Aviation On Wing Support Center will move its operation into a new, 68,000-square-foot facility in Florence, KY, later this summer. Located at the intersection of Ted Bushelman Boulevard and Doering Drive, the new facility is just south of Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). It is more than twice the size of the current facility located in Hebron, KY. The new facility is being developed by VanTrust Real Estate and constructed by Paul Hemmer Company.

On Wing Support, which has been in service near CVG since 1997, provides 24/7 full-service repair solutions for GE and CFM* commercial engines, including the GEnx, GE90, CFM56 and CFM LEAP. It also services smaller jet engines, including the CF34 and GE Honda HF120. On Wing Support will also support the world's largest commercial engine - the GE9X - when it enters service.

"Over the past few years, our capabilities have expanded significantly to meet repair demands for GE Aviation's growing installed engine base," said James Crane, who leads GE Aviation's global on-wing support operations. "This expansion will play an instrumental role in supporting our growing customer base."

"We are pleased to welcome GE as a tenant to this new facility," said VanTrust Real Estate Executive Vice President Andy Weeks. "GE represents the type of quality tenant we look for when developing our industrial projects."

The On Wing Support Center's team of nearly 50 employees perform a wide range of services, including remote borescope inspection, compressor top case repairs, fan case removal and installation, turbine module replacements and gearbox - and component replacements. The center offers 24-hour technician coverage for Aircraft On Ground (AOG).

"Our community welcomes this multi-million dollar capital investment by GE Aviation," said Florence Mayor Diane Whalen. "Investment in high-growth technology companies is key to the sustained economic growth in Kentucky. Our ability to support these industries will build a strong foundation for our future."

On Wing Support has a worldwide network with eight repair stations and more than 300 technicians. It provides more than 4,500 rapid repair solutions yearly to over 250 customers.
