All Nippon Airways Signs 10-Year OnPoint Solution Agreement on Its GE90 Engine Fleet

LE BOURGET -- All Nippon Airways (ANA) has signed a 10-year OnPointSM solution agreement with GE Aviation for the material to support its GE90 engine fleet. ANA operates 19 GE90-115B-powered Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. The deal is valued at close to $500 million (USD). 

"ANA and GE have built a very strong and reliable relationship from November 2004 when the first B777-300ER aircraft powered by GE90-115B engines was operated in the first revenue flight," said Hiroyuki Ito, executive vice president, Engineering & Maintenance with All Nippon Airways. "Today, we are expecting the further excellent support and relationship through the OnPoint program in the next successful decade." 

"This OnPoint solution agreement with ANA demonstrates the airline's recognition of the value and benefits that OEM material will provide for the GE90 engines," said Paul McElhinney, president and chief executive officer, GE Aviation's Services operation. "ANA's excellent maintenance practices along with the OEM material will help ANA's GE90 fleet continue to perform well in the field." 

Besides GE90 engines, ANA operates CFM56* engines and is the one of the largest CF6 engine operators in the world. 

OnPoint solutions are customized service agreements tailored to the operational and financial needs of each customer for any size fleet. These agreements are designed to help lower the customers' cost of ownership and maximize the use of their assets. Backed by GE's global support network, OnPoint services may include overhaul, on wing support, new and used-serviceable parts, component repair, technology upgrades, engine leasing, integrated systems support and diagnostics and integrated systems.
