Air Italy Signs a Five-Year OnPoint Solution Agreement for Its CFM and CF6 Engine Fleet

LE BOURGET -- Air Italy has signed a five-year OnPointSM solution agreement for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of its four CFM56-3B* and six CF6-80C2 engines powering its Boeing 737 and 767 fleet, respectively.

"GE's OnPoint solution agreement will help Air Italy maintain a technically superior fleet at predictable costs that enhances asset value and improves operating efficiency." 

Air Italy, based in Gallarate, Italy, operates scheduled services for tour operators to destinations in Europe, Brazil and Kenya. Its main bases are Naples International Airport and Verona Airport with a hub at Malpensa International Airport, Milan. 

OnPoint solutions are customized service agreements tailored to the operational and financial needs of each customer for any size fleet. These agreements are designed to help lower the customers' cost of ownership and maximize the use of their assets. Backed by GE's global support network, OnPoint services may include overhaul, on wing support, new and used-serviceable parts, component repair, technology upgrades, engine leasing, integrated systems support and diagnostics and integrated systems.
