LE BOURGET, France -- Volga-Dnepr Group and GE Aviation renew their strategic partnership that utilizes the two companies' unique strengths and expertise to develop collaborative solutions to benefit each company and their customers.
This agreement, first announced in 2016, incorporates a long-term Logistic Support Program in which Volga-Dnepr Group's Boeing 747-8F and An-124 freighters will continue to provide transportation support for GE Aviation and other GE businesses. It also includes marketing efforts, business growth opportunities, digital collaboration and leadership training between the two companies.
The agreement builds on the successful 20-year partnership between Volga-Dnepr and GE and further strengthens the companies’ commitments to each other. The benefits from these efforts are widespread for customers and the global air transportation market.
"We perceive GE Aviation not just as a leading vendor of engine and services. The company stands out as our reliable partner and this cooperation has been strengthened over many years through our successful Antonov 124 charter operations and Boeing 747 scheduled services for GE companies. By renewing our strategic partnership, we will continue our efforts to further develop new solution for the global air transportation market," said Tatyana Arslanova, Vice President for Strategic Management, Volga-Dnepr Group.
"Volga-Dnepr has set itself apart in the international air logistics and cargo market, and our two companies have forged a strong relationship over the years," said Bill Fitzgerald, vice president and general manager of Commercial Engine at GE Aviation. "This strategic partnership enables us to continue creating winning solutions for both Volga-Dnepr and GE and allows each of us to take advantage of the other's core competencies to benefit our businesses and our customers."
