Evendale, Ohio - GE Aircraft Engines (GEAE) has launched a redesigned Web site that features a new look, improved navigation and additional information on products and services.
The redesigned site, at http://www.geae.com, includes new graphics and reorganized content for a cleaner, user-friendlier design. Visitors can now move between sections without first having to revisit the home page, making it easier to find the information faster.
"The redesign of GE Aircraft Engines' Web site will give our customers, the media, students, and the public a more comprehensive overview of our products and services," said Karen Tripp, general manager of global communications at GE Aircraft Engines. "The new site incorporates new Internet technology advances and design, and will build upon its world-class reputation among Web users worldwide."
GEAE was one of the first aerospace companies to launch a public Web site, and today provides more than 1,200 pages of content. Since its launch in 1996, GEAE has made significant improvements to the site, including the addition of the Customer Web Center (CWC).
The CWC is a password-protected extranet that enables airlines to access Web-based, cost-saving capabilities such as spare parts order and inventory management, interactive technical publications, engine fleet highlights, repair status updated service manuals and bulletins. Today, more than 360 global airlines use the CWC.
GE Aircraft Engines, a division of General Electric Company (NYSE: GE), is the world's leading manufacturer of jet engines for civil and military aircraft, including engines produced by CFM International, a 50/50 joint company of Snecma of France and GE.
