Evendale, Ohio– Wednesday, December 18, 2024 – GE Aerospace today announced that it will integrate Aireon’s space-based automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast (ADS-B) data into Airspace Insight, a data-driven airspace analytics platform that empowers airlines to optimize flight paths and maintenance services, identify inefficiencies, and maximize airspace benefits. This integration will further strengthen Airspace Insight’s capabilities, driving smarter, data-informed operations.
Aireon’s ADS-B network provides uninterrupted, real-time aircraft position tracking across the entire globe, including remote and oceanic airspaces where traditional surveillance is limited. By incorporating Aireon’s ADS-B data into Airspace Insight, which is co-developed by MapLarge, GE Aerospace will offer its customers an enhanced level of data for better analysis of aircraft positioning data, improving flight safety and operational efficiency.
"Aireon’s global ADS-B data brings a new level of visibility to our Airspace Insight platform, helping our customers optimize their operations and make more informed, data-driven decisions,” said Andrew Coleman, General Manager of GE Aerospace, Software as a Service.
“We’re excited to partner with GE Aerospace and see our ADS-B data play a crucial role in improving management of airspace efficiency,” said Chris Devlin, Vice President, Product & Strategy of Aireon. “The combination of Aireon’s data with GE Aerospace’s innovative Airspace Insight software will offer unmatched global airspace analytics capabilities for airlines and operators.”
